Lipoma returns after removal. Is this common?
About 10 years ago, I had surgery to remove a growth from my upper right thigh. About the size of a medium egg. I was told it was a “lipoma”. The surgeon said it might come back, and it has - same size, same location.
I’m scheduled to have it surgically removed again later this month. Is this common?

I’ve watched many lipoma removals on shows like Dr. Pimple Popper and another show filmed in England. They all say that you have to get all of it out or it will grow back. I have one now that I’m preparing to have removed. A general surgeon is removing mine due to its size. I’m getting IV sedation. Hope I don’t have to do this but once.
Who’s removing yours this time?
