Lichen sclerosis & vaginal/anal yeast infections

I have lichen sclerosis treated with a once-weekly maintenance dose of triamcinolone. With flare-ups I use it more often until symptoms subside. I'm also getting anal yeast infections more frequently, for which I use nystatin. Because the symptoms (e.g., itching) can be the same for LS and the yeast infection, I don't always know which medication to use when symptoms appear. Is there a connection between LS and yeast infections? How do I best prevent either? What role does diet play in either? What else can I do to prevent yeast infections?
