Anyone else here foregoing treatment and simply trusting in the Lord's will? Just curious. Would love to hear from and fellowship with you! God bless you!

I saw your post and wanted to say that this choice is so very personal. I practiced letting go and letting God, but i also used another acronym called the three A's. Awareness, Acceptance and Action. Gods will for me is often apparent once i have run through my must dos. What happened, how do i feel about it and what action would be my next step. I do not have stage 4 but i had stage 2 breast and then MDS and a bone marrow transplant.
Some people do not want treatment. Family or friends may want you to have it. The question is What do you want? Right here on Mayo you can put in the search above Stage 4 lung cancer, and i believe others will have shared. That is the beauty of this site. We all do not have the same diagnosis, but we do understand how personal this journey is for each of us. There is a lot of hope on this site.

When I heard the words from the Thoracic Doctor the biopsy was cancer, I was not afraid. I immediately gave up my diagnosis to Jesus. My husband who was with me in the Doctors office began to cry.
I have stage 4 NSCLC, both lungs. I had no symptoms.
I am doing chemotherapy and immunotherapy. I trust Jesus’s will and plan for me. I can do my part by prayer and diet, and the oncology team to do their part. It is in my saviors hands.

@hiswill, Welcome to Mayo Connect. This is difficult diagnosis to process psychologically. I have been grateful to have time to work through the weight of the diagnosis, but it's still not easy, even five years later. There are many factors to look at when considering the next steps. How long ago were you diagnosed? Have you found a medical team that can provide you with the information that you need to make some decisions? I hope you feel supported in whatever you choose.
