Letrozole: When will I start feeling/seeing side effects?
I started taking Letrozole (Femura) about a month ago. When will I start feeling/seeing side effects? what are the main side effects you have? Does anyone not have any side effects?

Hi. I've been on arimidez for about a month now and aside from having a hard time falling asleep and the odd ache in my legs, I think I'm tolerating it well. I'm hoping as time goes by the side effects don't worsen or appear. One question though, since starting the AI I have started having pain and weird twinges in my breast that I had surgery on. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if it's because my estrogen levels are pretty much nil now. Thank you all.
That last post of mine should read "I've PREVIOUSLY listed", not preciously listed! :):):)
@tammyp @francine6829 - From what I've read so far on this and other sites, pretty much all the AI drugs have some potent side effects I've been on Arimidex for 14 months. I've preciously listed my side effects here and I think I just have to stick with it for the 5 years. I don't like to take Ibuprofen much, but I do when the pains get intolerable.
tammy, I am 6 weeks in and lots of joint Pain and i already had arthritis and this is making it worse. I do Yoga and have been taking D3 for years. What AI are you considering switching too. The other options sound much worse
I'm on Letrazole, also. If you're not having side effects, that's great. I started having side effects with in 24 hours of starting the meds, but I already had some joint issues! Acupuncture, Yoga, Mindfulness and Ibuprofen all work. I also found out I was Vitamin D3 deficient which also contributes to the pain. I am considering switching to another AI when this refill comes due.
Thank you! I have found the stretching and strengthening in Yoga has helped tons.
@francine6829 It was me that posted about it as an anti-inflammatory. I've tried different brands, the last being Dr. Mercola fermented turmeric, but need to just read up on this prior to starting. There are many brands out there. If you do take it, drink lots of water as it can come back in burpies. Again, read up on this prior and check with your physician to make sure that it does not interfere with anything you're being given. Also, as I mentioned earlier, some of my pain is caused by stress of pain in muscles. Stretching will help alleviate that and as I mentioned I use extra-strength blue emu cream to help. I also do mindfulness meditation which helps relax the body.
Trixie - Which tumeric brand do you use, how often do you take it, and what is the dosage?
@francine6829 - Francine, it wasn't me who posted about turmeric.
