Computer recommendations for someone with neuropathy?

looking for laptop/notebook/keyboard computer recommendations for neuropathy in my wife's fingers. thanks.

Hello @steveron, My neuropathy is not too bad in my hands although I do have a little tremor once in awhile and have to stop messing with the mouse or keyboard for a second or two. I have an HP laptop, an 12" iPad and a desktop computer. I rarely use my laptop anymore unless I have to travel somewhere and also don't use the iPad much either. I think a lot of choosing which is the best may be taking your wife to a store and see how the keyboard feels to her and if will work as expected. I do think whatever device you choose that the keyboard is a large part of the decision. I did see a video that might help explain the issue with some folks if the neuropathy in the fingers is a problem. If she likes using a iPhone or iPad, you might find this article helpful:

@steveron, I merged your two discussions into one that appears in both the Pancreatic Cancer support group as well as the Neuropathy support group.

Does your wife's neuropathy cause pain or numbness or both? What does she find challenging with her current computer setup? Is a keyboard easier that a touch screen or vice versa?

Both feet and hands looking for something that will help hearing a lot about stem cells had it for about 2 yrs it’s disabling and can do anything I use to. My gardening my house cleaning nothing I was able to do before,I’m hearing a lot about stem cell but also here some disturbing systems. I don’t want to be worst I just want to be me. I had Covid shot and believe it’s from that never sick before and this all came on suddenly after about 4 months after it’s taken my life away I was very active, now after ward end up in hospital with Covid and conjestive heart failure it so dam frustrating I’ve had IVIG, laser therapy shock treatment so what can you do for me please hopefully something

Sorry to hear about your situation and I hope it gets better. We are new to neuropathy issues as my wife's finger neuropathy is getting worse from chemo, and we are looking for a computer that she could use more easily. I wish I knew more about neuropathy, but at this time, I am quite ignorant about what to do and am sorry to say I don't have any suggestions to offer you.

@steveron and @dollie1944, One of the keys for me on dealing with my neuropathy and other health conditions is to learn as much as I can about the condition and available treatments from reliable sources for medical information. A site that has been super helpful for me has been the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy. @dollie1944, I can relate to just wanting to be your old self again. Dealing with neuropathy is difficult to say the least. I would be very cautious with anything stem cell related for neuropathy as I just don't think it has any reliable studies out there that it works.
