Lack of saliva cevelimine doesn’t work this is a new device does it w
Passed on to me by oral pathologist, but she doesn’t know anyone heard of it or, better yet know anyone who tried it?
http://saliwell.com/ seems to good to be true, but its difficult living without saliva. They claim to beFDA approved. But there are some issues with medical devices .
Also unsure if covered by insurance.. maybe if prescribed. Seems fishy, but might be worth a try. Would feel better if anyone had experience with it. Please rely with thoughts or personal knowledge.

I don't know of anyone who has tried the SaliPen® but did find this research that mentions it along with a few other similar devices and some related research on treating dry mouth with electrostimulation.
"Worth mentioning are, for example, electrostimulators like Salitron®, GenNarino®, and SaliPen® that stimulate saliva secretion in patients suffering from dry mouth [26, 72]. They have been developed as drug-free systems stimulating a lingual nerve but it may be the idea that can be also used in the future in combination with pharmacological treatment."

I have used XyliMelts for dry mouth when using my CPAP and found them helpful and fairly inexpensive - https://www.amazon.com/XyliMelts-Adhering-Slightly-Stimulates-Non-Acidic/dp/B07TYW877C/.
Thanks for finding the research I sent myself the articles to read later. I’m stuck all day using xylimelts."… almost all day. For some reason the cev works in the morning for a few hours. The goal is to have saliva both are swallowing and protect my teeth. Thanks again.!
By the way, separate from the Research, if anybody has use this or knows anybody who’s used it I would like to see what they say. I suspect it’s not well known. I saw it and thought it was bogus, but it looks like the research shows some results. I’m skimming it. I’ll read it later. Hope others can post here too if they have some knowledge of us.
@cblue I can’t address the use of the Salipen but something I am researching is vitamin K2-MK7. I am taking it for osteoporosis but have noticed my saliva has increased (I have SS). There is not much to be found about this. But I did read today that the salivary glands have the second most amount (pancreas was first). https://obgyn.mcw.edu/wp-content/uploads/Vitamin-K2-Froedert-Womens.pdf
Like I said, not a lot out there on K2 and dry mouth. But my daily dose of 180 mcg of MK-7 has helped my dry mouth.
Yes, I think you posted before but thank you for this background. Does it work if you’re not taking calcium I’m having trouble swallowing so I’m not taking any pills. I don’t need unfortunately being sick for two years I went from being healthy to having osteoporosis so I’ll probably go back to taking calcium form and vitam Mk7 is that the one you’re talking about the brand I have is 90 µg. You take two pills?? I don’t think I’m allowed to write privately here. Do you post on the Smart Patients site? If so, you could write me privately we could discuss this further. Thanks again for the detailed background.
Following up on queries and comments above about SaliPen manufactured by Saliwell Ltd. Medical Systems.
I ordered this device in late November. Received it on December 15, 2023 and started usage December 16, 2023 after carefully reading the User Guide and following precise instructions. To date, January 21, 2023, it has had not any effect on my salivary glands. Instructions indicate to use in a fixed routine and not just when U feel dryness. My mouth is like a desert: no saliva at all. Ordering this device gave me hope as I have tried numerous products—including Civemline. Guide indicates to be consistent even if only a limited effect is felt. Clinical trials showed gradual improvement over time and it may take a few months of persistent use until reaching satisfactory results. As I’ve only really begun using the device for a short while, I will continue for a few more months to give it a fair trial—for me. I used for 5 minutes twice a day (morning and evening).
Thanks for the feedback. i hope it does begin to work. Need some hope myself(:
