Keytruda —> now very low TSH
So new side effects from Keytruda.
Not only has it caused AFibs, but now it has caused Hypothyroidism.
Has this happened to anyone else?

And this more recent blood test his TSH is very high!
@abob, sorry to hear that your husband and you are facing this new challenge. I think you had enough on your plates! The good thing is that his doctors were monitoring for this side effect. How are they responding or treating the thyroid swings?
Sorry to vent. Our “world class” Florida cancer center is good with treatment but poor with communication. Altho we’re on the RN alert list, and I’ve posted msg on his patient portal, and I’ve left a vm for rn team, no contact yet re his recent results. He’ll probably be referred to an endocrinologist. Major concern is continuing with Keytruda since it has already affected his heart and now thyroid. Thanks for listening.

@abob, any update?
Thanks for reaching out. April TSH 0.005, May TSH 40.0
2weeks after results, no call from cancer center but just got call from an Endocrinologist who received referral from them. Earliest appt is mid Oct.
Awaiting call back from cancer center if 5 months is too long to wait.
(Seems to be a shortage of endocrinologists in Florida. I called all 10 within 100 miles - most not taking new patients, on,y 1 has new pt appt also in Oct.)
Sigh.
ICI frying the thyroid is very common.

Yes, we see that. Even with medication as it gets stabilized on its way to normal, it causes other issues like loss of appetite. Sigh.
The upside is that it is indicative of efficacy.
