Jet belly prevention. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have completed the FODMAP diet and am careful to avoid foods that may have my problem sugars in them. I also should add that I have a tortuous (mega) colon. I have found that every time I fly overseas (not sure about domestic) I get horrible gas and loose stools. I got suspicious it wasn't the food but the actual flying and after googling found that indeed the change in plane pressure causes this problem. I found some exercises to do and to drink lots of water and move around which is difficult. A UK article suggested FyboCalm Wind & Bloating Relief Capsules. My nephew gets jet belly too and he flies overseas frequently. So my sister checked with a pharmacy and they said to have your doc give you a 3 day Cipro tx right before you and use refrigerated probioticvs with enzymes. Has anyone else had this problem and did you use any of these treatments?

@jdinor - that sounds like it would slow you down a bit from traveling. I would not love having "jet belly."

Interestingly, this Mayo Clinic article on jet lag talks about GI symptoms you can get from jet lag:

- Jet lag disorder https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/jet-lag/symptoms-causes/syc-20374027

It looks like from this article that there are various ways of dealing with this beyond just waiting it out.

You mentioned you do exercises, drink lots of water and move around. Does this fix the problem for you, or are you seeking additional remedies?
