I would recommend you lower the dose. The pen has 8 clicks. You can start at 2 clicks and move up to 3,4,5,6..my doc was happy with 6 but I got up to 7 clicks. I still cannot tolerate the full 8 clicks and I have been on it for 18 months. I got great results despite the partial dose. Let your doc know you want to do this!

Jaw pain can have a lot of different causes. Time will tell, especially if you change the dose.

Thank you! I’ll talk with my doctor and request the change. Better to do less than none at all. Really gave me concerns.

I didn’t have pain, but my pulse did go up the first couple of days for about an hour and a half.
I did the gradual dosing and in less than 2 weeks, I am at 6 clicks and tolerating it well.

@cathyhirsch05014 I want to be clear that the goal is not to take less on a long term basis. The goal is to ramp up slowly to a therapeutic level so your body adjusts. My doc did say 6 clicks was probably therapeutic but I have gotten to 7 most days since the first months of ramping up. I still cannot tolerate the full 8 clicks. My gains have been excellent.

Tymlos raises pulse and lowers blood pressure. For the first months I took my blood pressure before and after. I run low and hydrated well. I haven't needed to do that since the first months.
