Hello Joanne,
I am very sorry to hear about your situation. This is really terrible.
But I can assure you that you are not alone! There is millions of us with chronic pain around the globe.
I am still looking for answers or at least a name for my pain. I refuse to believe that we have no options to find some relief!
Joanne, do you have someone close to support you? Family or friends?
I hope you feel better soon!
Hugs!

3 ReactionsDear Joanne,
It's not easy to feel as you do. Please know that others feel this way from time
to time. When God is in your heart ... you are never alone. On a different 'note',
have a radio at your side. Listen to pretty music and try to put a bit of calmness
in your mind in knowing others - unknown to you - wish you good health and
many uplifting moments. Reading a book of favorite poetry and even a book
of silly jokes may help put a smile on your face and surprise yourself with a giggle.
Please try dear Joanne and "Welcome ... to the Chronic Pain Sufferers Club",
Know you're not alone. I know. We know. Good Luck, dear new member.

3 ReactionsDear Joanne, I got hooked up with this group because of A-fib and not due to chronic pain, but I can tell you that this communication has been a god-send for me. It really helps to talk to others, to share positive and also negative responses to things. It is important to be informed, to learn the latest treatments, successes and reasonable expectations of various therapies and meds. Another great resource is YouTube where you will find doctors from respected hospitals that inform people about their options and what they should watch out for. I learned more about A-fib and the available options for treatment there than the usual cardiologist has time to give you. Of course, there are some unreliable resources, but you will figure those out if you listen carefully. (If it sounds too good to be true, it generally is!) But when I was scheduled for an ablation, I watched the entire process on YouTube so I knew what to expect. With chronic pain, it is helpful to look at all the lifestyle changes that you can make or attempt that might provide relief; a positive attitude goes a long way and feeling isolated is not a good thing. I always remember exercise guru Richard Simmons saying: "everyone can move something" in the form of exercise! So hang in there and keep involved. Even a video tape of a workout can be inspiring! Good luck and best wishes.

@joannef20 yes I understand that. I have chronic leg pain from a hard fall a year ago. I live with my little dog who is the best medicine. There are days I cannot leave home, run errands, drive my car, go to the library or go for long walks. My world feels very small some days. You get so tired of making excuses for not being able to go out or do or go places. I try to stay positive and look at the good things in my life but chronic pain is exhausting.

5 ReactionsYES !!! My adult daughter , who is 29 , won't go out because she's afraid people will stare at her for being in a wheelchair . And she's very reluctant to go out and meet others her age in the same condition .

6 ReactionsSorry your daughter feels this way. Pain takes so much from not only the person feeling it but their whole circle. Not. Fun.
It's definitely a challenge for all. If she'd try something anything small & go from there. Is she on here? I hope so. Chatting with others can really help. Hang in there all of you.
