Is this long COVID or something else?

Posted by telemeister62 @telemeister62, 2 days ago

Got super sick in December '24 with a virus. Didn't take a test, but it felt like COVID with the rotten smell as I recovered, which I had in 2021 with COVID. Mid-January I was having breathing issues and was prescribed an inhaler and steroids. Things seemed to be heading in the right direction until I got Norovirus in Feb. Here I am now with daily chest pain, shortness of breath, GI issues, tension headaches, tinnitus, and brain fog.

Cardiology, pulmonary, gastroenterology, and primary care all say I'm healthy as can be. Had a ton of blood work and an endoscopy that all came back perfect with no sign of auto immune indicators, inflammation, or esophageal issues.

Does this sound like LC?

telemeister62, Your symptoms mimic Long Covid. I had a lot of the symptoms you are speaking about. Did
you have double pheumonia with suspected COVID or the flu? If so, that takes time to go away and can cause
chest pain and shortness of breath for a while and horrible fatigue. Brain fog is definitely a symptom of LC.
Is there a LC recovery clinic that you can go to close by? Take all of your bloodwork that you have had done with you.

My GI issues ramped up with COVID and I had to increase my reflux medication per the doctor's request. I'm surprised your pulmonlogist did not prescribe a resculer inhaler for you such as Albuterol or a Nebulizer with Albuterol.

It sounds like your body has taken quite a hit from suspected COVID and then the norovirus back to back. Your immune system was on overload to fight this....it's got to be so tiring.

I would also recommend an Integrative Medicine doctor (take your labwork with you) and get their take on this.

I am so sorry you are battling this. Blessings & Prayers....

@telemeister62
It sounds like LC and the spike protein is known to damage endothelial cells in blood vessels/organs. Many doctors don’t know much about LC and endothelial cells dysfunction.

You may want to do some research on endothelial cell dysfunction post covid or mRNA injections. I’m not sure if a microvascular specialist can help and if there is good information out there about how to detox the spike protein from our bodies.

Could you refer me to the information you mention about how to detox the spike protein from our bodies? I have been diagnosed with LC by Mayo in Rochester.

For LC GI issues, I started taking a specific probiotic twice a day about 6 weeks ago that was developed for ameliorating LC GI dysfunction. The brand is YourGut+, and it’s reasonably priced ~$30 for a month’s supply (including shipping). It isn’t a miracle medication, but it has helped my gut function (which was awful since long before I got LC). It does have added vitamin D, so you just need to be careful not to supplement with additional vitamin D if you take it.
