Are you taking any vitamin B6 supplements or consuming energy drinks that contain high amounts of B6?

Thank you so much for your kind advice. My english is not perfect, sorry. I took only one redbull in the morning on empty stomac. sometimes months ago two. supplementation b vitamines benerva and becozym. I live in switzerland, may be different names. I was always a lightwight woman, but in the last half year I lost 5 kilos and now my weight is only 46 kilos. I feel so week lost musclesmass and have severe pain of polyneuropathy in feet legs and hands. was on pregabalin 200mg but severe and terrible side effects, Im down now on 50mg but in pain. 68years old. it seems the docters here have no clue about how to handle megavitamin b6 syndrome. how does it go to push down this high level? I dont think with less vitamin b6 food. may be I will find more advice. thank you all for this webside and to all a good health

I think one of the keys to lowering the b6 levels is drinking a lot of water and stop taking all supplements with b6. Here are a few more references that I hope can help you.

I've been following a peripheral neuropathy FB page for a couple years, and yes, B6 toxicity is a cause of PN. Supplements in USA are unregulated (Congress to thank for that). B6 is not beneficial in large doses and adequate B6 should be available in normal diet for almost anyone.
Most supplements I've seen are mega doses

That's me. My new neurologist ordered the test and indeed my result was quite high. So I have stopped taking a B complex vitamin. She told me that it is in the toxic range. It might have been the cause or just part of the contributing factor. Stopping will not cure, but could reduce the severity of the symptoms.

oh, sounds good reduced symptoms. gratulation. Sabrina
meanwhile I am in bloddy pain
