Hello @zachariah, Welcome to Connect. The pain you are describing sounds like it could have several different causes but I'm not sure that herpes could be a cause. Here's some information on the topic that sounds similar to what you are experiencing:

It does sound like it could be serious. Is the pain constant or come and go? Have you contacted your doctor about the symptoms?

both cardiologist and the specialist for gastro problems examined me and they carried out clinical and pathological tests. nothing abnormal was found out. finally, i met a senior surgeon who feels that the cause for acute pain could be herpes.

Could be referred pain from intercostal nerves or cervical nerves.

Sounds like you have a great doctor and surgeon. Never would have thought the herpes virus could cause that kind of pain. After you mentioned it I did some research and saw this article on the topic:

Did they start you on a treatment?

since last six months i am suffering from chronic pain just below my left nipple. the pain extends to the middle of my back bone and also the entire area below my left shoulder. ECG was taken and nothing abnormal could be found out. I was examined by three cardiologists from different hospitals and none could find anything wrong with my heart. I was then advised to undergo endoscopy followed by a detailed scanning of the stomach. There was nothing adverse. What is the cause of this pain? can anyone help me out.

@zachariah, you mention that this may be caused by herpes. Did you have shingles (Herpes Zoster)?

Zachariah, You may want to see a good chiropractor to see if a rib is out of place. When they are out it hurts a lot. If you start at your collar bone center with gentle pressure and work your fingers straight down your front both sides you can touch the ends of the ribs. The ribs separate right under the nipple and spread outward as you go down. If one side is a lot more painful then it could be the rib is slightly out of place. This can be easily fixed. You've done every test so it may be a structural thing. Also the enzyme L-Lysine is very helpful with knocking down herpes/shingles. We have used it very successfully. It is available in most health food stores.
