Is there an alternative to a digit widgit to straighten my finger?

I had surgery June 2025 for a ligament injury. Now I have proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint flexion contracture. My little finger bends about 40 degrees. After much OT and bracing, the only option seems to be a digit widgit. I would like know if anyone else has had this done or had other successful alternatives. I checked with a great acupuncurist and she said it was very iffy if she could fix it. Not only is it a nuisance but it causes tightness right up my arm which is uncomfortable.
