Is there a medication for paralysis (brain hemorrhage) at Mayo clinic?
My father became paralyzed on the left side due to a brain hemorrhage 5 years ago, but he hasn't fully recovered. We haven't given up and are still searching for better medication. His legs are fine, and he can walk, but he still has difficulty with his hands.
Has anyone received medical guidance from the Mayo Clinic?
Is there a possibility for him to recover, and could you provide a better solution? Thank you.

Has your father had recent MRI of his brain and cervical spine to check vessels and for spinal cord/nerve root compression?
Has he had EMG/nerve conduction studies of his upper and lower limbs recently? Is he still getting physical therapy to help him regain function?
It seems you need testing/imaging to determine what is damaged that controls your father’s arm/hand functioning and the options for treatment therapy. I am not aware of any medication that would treat this and repair nerves. Some nerves regenerate and some do not. It is important your father eats a healthy diet and gets proper exercise and sleep to support nerve healing as much as possible. He needs nutrients and oxygen to get to where it is needed to help with healing and to reduce inflammation as much as possible.
Is he getting mental health support and medication, if needed? I’m sure this experience can impact mental health since it is a chronic disability. How old is your father?

P.S. You want to also make sure to take care of yourself as a caregiver. Caregiver stress is real and it is very important you take care of your mental/physical health through diet, exercise, proper sleep, mental health support, support groups, others to step in to give you a break, etc. It is important you “put your oxygen mask on” so you are able to help advocate for your dad. This is not easy on you and I feel for you.
My father is 45 years old now.
Yes, we have taken MRI of his brain 6 months ago and he don't have any issues related to spinal cord he got paralysis due to blood leakage and blood clot in his brain. His condition is better now that he can walk properly without any external support but, his arms/hands were not yet recovered. And the current medication just stopped the blood leakage from the nerves but it is not helping to recover the dead nerves (it just stopped the further extension of issue but not helping to recover him that is already caused). He is also getting full support from my side and also from my family, he his having good exercise and proper food diet.
i am trying to provide him the better medication so that he can get recover soon.
so, could you please give me the better solution that you know?
Thank you.
