Is testosterone with dutasteride use in females safe

I am a parent of a gender fluid woman who want to change her voice. They have recommended testosterone with dutasteride and I am very worried that it may not end up being what she wants, as well there may be physical problems associated with the use of these.

@niovi Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. It sounds like your daughter's natural voice too high for her liking? What about trying some training with a voice coach to see if there could be something done that way, without involving medications? It's a thought that just came to me.

As a person moves forward in life, finding the path that best fits them, there may be times to try a variance of how we thought we should proceed. I wish your daughter success.
