Is my girlfriend pregnant?

Posted by pickleplatypus @pickleplatypus, 1 day ago

Me and my girlfriend last had sex on September 6th, and her last period was August 20th, her average cycle is 35 days, and she’s currently 14 days late. We had protected sex where i pulled out before i ejaculated but we’re just really scared because we were safe and we’re teenagers and she really cannot pregnant. She’s had no symptoms though but i’m just really worried can anyone help?

Try an over the counter pregnancy test. Anytime after 14 days is the best time keeping in mind the tests are not always accurate. Stress can cause a regular period to fluctuate. Condoms are not 100 % foolproof as they can break or leak. Pulling out doesn’t always work…think of all those many many sperm that can escape. She shouldn’t feel any pregnancy symptoms this early so that’s not an indication of pregnancy. Don’t delay any longer if you intend to terminate a possible pregnancy. Both of you should talk to a parent if you are going to be safely sexually active. Not always easy depending on the family dynamics but may be the best thing for you. They won’t be that surprised, I’ll bet and I am sure they would rather know now. There is a morning after pill.

I don’t know where you live or how the planned parenthood agencies work where you are. Get the test first..then go seek adult help. Remember that are not always accurate. Relax…ain’t the first time this has ever happened.

Hoping you have a good relationship with your parents.

Hello @pickleplatypus

As @imallears said in her post, this would be a good time to purchase a home pregnancy test. They can be found in the health section of any grocery store or at a pharmacy. You do not need a prescription; you can buy one over the counter. It is essential right now to put your mind at ease as to whether she is pregnant or not, so that you can determine what steps are necessary to ensure your girlfriend's health.
