Is Liv.52 effective in helping liver disease?
My recent blood work shows I have high levels of Bilirubin Total and Bilirubin Direct. I will soon get a scan of the liver. I read where Liv.52 is helpful in addressing liver disease. What is your experience on Liv.52 if you used it?

Good morning from Canada. Something I've learned through my long 15-year journey with liver disease and liver transplant do not take anything that your doctors haven't prescribed. Just because it says organic or natural on the label doesn't mean it's good for you and doesn't mean it's healthy for your liver. And I was told that there is no such thing as a liver detox. The best thing for you to do to protect and repair your liver is two to watch your weight, watch what you eat, eat a balanced diet, don't eat, processed foods, canned soups, etc. Etc. it basically comes down to the old school diet and exercise. Nobody is saying go out and join a gym and do 7-Day a week. Workouts go for walks, get fresh air. Drink moderately to no or none at all. Watch what you eat. Like I say, eliminate processed foods. That's the number one issue with liver disease that and alcohol. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! I wish you the very best on your liver journey. May you find blessings from whatever God you believe in 💪🍁🇨🇦💗

What about diet and nutrition like 6-8 oz of water a day; 3 cups of coffee a day; Mediterranean-type of diet?

Good morning Nick
I'm not a doctor but I am somebody who has lived with liver disease and had a liver transplant. I have an autoimmune disorder so a little bit different than non-alcoholic fatty liver disease or some of the other diseases out there. But yes, I would suggest following a Mediterranean diet and the Mayo clinic has a really good Mediterranean diet to follow. I don't belong to Mayo clinic. We don't have them in Canada but when I was first diagnosed with my liver disease my hepatologist told me the best thing to do is to follow Mayo clinic. He said don't do Dr. Google but Mayo clinic he said is one you can really seriously trust. I would check it out. Just Google liver diet or Mayo clinic Mediterranean diet and try that. I wish you a good luck and a Merry Christmas and as we like to say in Canada elbows up you will survive. I'm living proof that you can survive liver disease
