Is it Nash or Mash

Ultrasound for another matter revealed that I had NASH. Nothing more was said to me than that. Now I am under the impression it is no longer Nash but is Mash. Apparently it is not a serious matter with me but I don't know for certain. What I want to ask is,,is it reversible if I should after 82 years decide to take better care of my diet?

NASH has been renamed MASH..not that it’s the next step in a progression of liver illness. No one said anything to me either and it quickly whithin a couple years turned into cirrhosis when the scarring showed up. It’s my understanding that diet can change the course before the scarring starts. I have improved my diet and my last Scans and ultrasounds show no progression. I am 68. My liver enzymes have now been normal for almost a year. I’ve lost weight. I cut down on fat and sugars. I make sure I’m eating complex carbs. I do eat fruit but I watch amounts. My air fryer is used a lot! Good luck in what you choose.
