Is anyone on a bisphosphonate and bioidentical/compounded hormones at the same time and getting positive results? Googled it and it appears this isn't a bad combo.

I was not on bisphosphonates but on Forteo and followed that with HRT to maintain the gains. Been on HRT for 5 years and my bone density appears to be pretty stable. I would think it would be a beneficial compliment to bisphosphonates as well.

That’s great. I guess we need to weigh out the risks with hormones. How were you when you stated them? I am thinking about the same but it’s been over ten years since menopause.

I was about 62 and 10 years out of menopause. I weighed all of my options and felt that this was actually the most natural option. All drugs have a risk profile along with their benefits and for me, the benefits of HRT outweighed the risks. The lowest dose of transdermal estradiol (.025) offers bone benefits.

I am on Evenity and I started bioidentical hormones by a company called biote they are pellets they insert in your upper buttocks . I am 71 and feel great with putting back natural hormones into my body . My endocrinologist didn’t like it but read the latest research and I feel comfortable with it .

I have taken bioidentical hormones for 20 years. My osteoporosis number stayed stable for 10 years. Just osteo. I just got the testosterone pellet to try to improve dexa. I will give it a year. My friend totally turned her numbers around. I am praying.

I have used bio hormones for 20 years. Now using the pellets to improve my dexa scores as the creams don’t offer as much delivery. My friend used pellets and turned her osteo to normal! I have hope!
