Is anyone dealing with narrowing of the esophagus?

I have been to ER and they put me on Prolosec, but it has not helped much. I've lost 12# in 2 weeks and now have appt to see Gastrologist on Monday.

I have same problems. Getting worse as I age. Additionally it causes my heart to go into aflutter and AfIb. Currently have appointments with EP and Gastroenterologist.

I have this problem and have been diagnosed with Achalasia 3
I am scheduled of a POEM procedure in three weeks.
Just wondering if anyone in the group has had this procedure?

I have this problem and have been diagnosed with Achalasia 3

I had this procedure 3 days ago. The burning pain afterwards was tolerable. Stayed overnight. Had CT scan with contrast the next morning. Sent me home with an antibiotic and Protonix. Burning pain is tolerable but very uncomfortable. Praying the procedure helps me have a quality of life again.
