Is air travel safe after vitrectomy?

I had a vitrectomy (with gas bubble) about a year ago and haven't been on a plane since, but holiday travel is looming. Are there any risks to the operated-on eye related to the air pressure on the plane? And, has anyone experienced pain in the operated-on eye on a plane or at high altitudes? Thanks in advance.
