I have found the Monash University app on fodmaps to be a great help and clarification on quantities of offending food. I’m also dealing with SIBO which was greatly helped for 2-3 months by Rifaxin but at great expense.

Had CT for IBS.
One verbal diagnosis says I do have inflammation of the colon. Another verbal diagnosis says no.
I asked them do I have it or not?
I wouldn’t expect this from the Mayo Clinic!
Now they want me to go ahead with a colonoscopy.
Why can’t they try oral medication first?

I'm confused a little too. From the messages that you've posted previously, you stated that you've had many medications, none of which have worked. You suspected that after the CT scan you would be getting a colonoscopy to investigate further.

This condition may be something I have to live with.
@gagent Let us know how the appointments go. If no one else has found the answer, they will probably want all new testing in case other physicians missed something.
I empathize with your digestive tract problems. I've had three surgeries of the upper digestive tract and understand all of the uncomfortable problems that can occur. The Fodmap eating plan has had helped many of us with symptoms of IBS. While I'm not a medical professional and cannot diagnose other people, the fact that you said that your pain is in the lower abdomen reminds me of my own symptoms with diverticulosis and diverticulitis. Has any doctor ever done a CT scan and/or colonoscopy to check for those disorders?

I have Crohn's Disease and have been on Entyvio for several years.
I am usually quite normal , except when I get an excessive bout of BM movements, at which time
I have a tendency of losing my Potassium & Magnesium, which requires me to get infusions.
What appears to trigger the BM's is the fact that most Acid reducers on the market all seem to
create diarrhea.
My question is; ARE THERE ANY ACID REDUCHERS THAT DO NOT BRING DIARRHEA?
