Ipilimumab plus Nivolumab vs Pembrolizumab plus Axitinib
My doctor is recommending Ipilimumab and Nivolumab or Pembrolizumab and Axitinib.
Anyone use either of these treatments before?
Side effects?
how well did they work?

@ronc531, which treatment combo did you and your oncologist decide to try? How are you doing?
Thanks Colleen,
We went with Ipilimumab and Nivolumab. It seemed like the best choice for me.
Had my first treatment Thursday, it went well. feeling fatigue, itchy, a lot of joint pain, and stomach issues. only got sick once last night but was up all night. Had a little blood in my vomit but just a pea size at the end. Nothing the rest of the day.
the side effects seem to get stronger as time goes by which sounds right.
Opdivo (nivolumab) plus Yervoy (ipilimumab) my brother did 4 rounds of this. At the end of the end of the treatment the CT showed some tumors had shrunk but a couple small ones had appeared in the lungs. No illness during txt. Now they are using only the optivo 3 rounds. Then we will do another CT. I'll keep all updated as to the outcome.
