Interested and curious about turkey tail mushrooms

I was diagnosed with breast cancer stage two in June 2022 I went through two surgeries, six months of chemotherapy and five weeks of radiation. They then introduced me to estrogen blockers I started with anastrozole for 4 1/2 months and then couldn’t take it anymore. My joints and bones were so filled with pain and I was incredibly fatigued I’ve been off AI for three months and now they want me to start exemestane 25 mg daily for five years + yes. I’m anxious to start the estrogen blocker again. Anxious is an understatement. I’m petrified because I felt so ill while taking anastrozole. I was just reading about turkey tail mushrooms, but realize you cannot take them if you’re on an estrogen blocker is there anyone who can give me information on turkey tail mushrooms?

Would it be helpful to take both turkey tail and the AI? My estrogen levels were going up.

I use Real Mushrooms brand also because Ralph Moss recommends using their 5 Defenders supplement. I use that and their Turkey Tail.

Could you please clarify "However you cannot be on anti-estrogen meds when you take it and the purpose for taking it is in lieu of taking the anti-estrogen meds. " I am currently taking Verzino.

I take an AI (letrozole) and take mushroom supplements. My naturopathy said it was only contraindicated during chemo. I also take ground flaxseed. Some clinical studies claim they are more effective than even tamoxifen. Some people on this site have suggested changing the brand of medication can have an impact of the side effects you experience. Maybe try a different brand?

In case anyone is on the blood thinner Eliquis be sure to check out a possible interaction between it and turkey tail mushrooms. I was hopeful about trying turkey tail mushrooms after I read this discussion but learned that it may not be wise to take it if you're on Eliquis.

Like so many things, though, this is not a well-established interaction.
