Interactions with prednisone, methotrexate and supplements

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has used Glucosamine Sulfate, MSM and Chondroitin Sulfate while on Prednisone and Methotrexate?

I have read in an arthritis book that these 3 supplements together help with inflammation and pain. I am down to 4mg prednisone and one injection of methotrexate per week. I would like to start these supplements so they take effect when I am off all meds. They say the supplements take 6 to 8 weeks to kick in.

I will be asking my doctor and my rheumatologist before going ahead with these.

Anyone else use these after finishing meds?

Hopefully others with experience can answer this one but I think it's best to ask your doctor. I did see the following warning for MSM but I think it was in relation to Methotrexate injection in oncology.

"Does MSM interact with methotrexate?
How the interaction occurs: When these two medicines are taken together, your body may not process methotrexate properly."

I use MSM (3grams) without a problem but I don't take methotrexate. I tried glucosimine and chondroitin for awhile but I am not a good pill taker and it was just too labor intensive to get down. I am on so many anti-inflamatories right now it's no wonder my labs are in normal range. Besides the methyl prednisalone, (8mg) there is sulfasalazine, low dose naltrexone, and the MSM.
