Severe stomach pain
I have had several years of pain in my stomach and not sure what to do. i have had ibs, acid reflux, gastritis, internal hemorrhoids. A few months ago I had a slighly irregular Z line, mildly erythematous found in the antrum and nodules were found in the ascendingn colon.
I have taken xypaxin for pain but it no longer helps. I throw up daily and have diarrhea, I have headaches. My stomach cramps so badly that I can go anywhere because of the pain. What should I do?

I had similar pain after my gallbladder surgery. Had exploratory surgery 5 years later and discovered that my duodenum had adhered between the lobes of my liver where the gallbladder used to be. They took down the adhesions, but I still had constant pain. A pain specialist diagnosed me with an abdominal neuroma and tried to treat it with ablation which helped for a few months at a time. After years of pain meds and ablation treatments, I finally got a neurostimulator that helped tremendously. I went from 7 different pain meds a day down to one. It took 25 years to get relief but now I’m doing well. Good luck and keep advocating for yourself.
Mesenteric panniculitis (MP) is a benign condition characterized by chronic inflammation and fibrosis of adipose tissue mainly of the small bowel mesentery?
I have been going through the same thing for the past 10 months. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis 13 years ago that ended up with a partial gastrectomy and have been doing well until the last 10 months. I have been unable to eat or drink without pain and nausea and have lost 38 pounds.. I have had upper endoscopies, ERCPs, CT Scans, bloodwork and every test you can think of and they are still not sure what is causing the pain, why after so many years has it come back... I am now off to another specialist at Temple that specializes in gastroparesis for a consult. I keep checking this site for new options and hoping to find some new path to bring to the doctors to help address the issue. They are now talking about a feeding tube because I am still losing weight at an alarming rate...
I'm elderly and I have intense aching in the stomach when I try to sleep. All the blood work up ordered came back negative had a CT scan done at the ER and it was normal only the stool test left waiting for that to come back. At the ER was given the prescription drug dicyclomine didn't take as of yet. Didn't like the side effects for the elderly and yes I know all drugs have a side effects.
I took a tylenol before going too sleep and it helped until morning when the tylenol wore off. Then the aching started right now seems to be better at the moment and now have the chills. But I have no idea what is causing this. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.
Nothing worse than not being able to sleep due to pain. I've been there many nights. I think the Dr wrote that prescription for a reason. Dicyclomine could help you. If it were me, I would take one shortly before bed and see if it's a help. You can always stop taking it if you find it's side affects are too much for you. Best wishes.
ty for replying.
I'm so sorry you are having such stomach problems! That must be so awful and not being able to sleep well is so important when one is older. I know. I'm 79 and really need my sleep. Since the Tylenol worked somewhat perhaps you should continue it during the day. It states on the bottle the number you should only take during a 24 hour period. I don't blame you for being worried about the side effects of the medicine that was prescribed. Everyone is different. What works for one doesn't always work for others. Possibly you could try taking half a tablet of the prescribed medication.
Have you tried some relaxing methods such as a heating pad on your stomach, a hot shower or a cup of tea? However, you still need to find out what is causing the pain.
Tell God all about your problems. Just talk to him like he's your best friend and he is! He made you and he can fix you. I'll say a prayer for you also.
I wish you the best.

Well, I'm fixing to turn 79, so I know of what you speak. When you said "chills" I thought of virus. Which may or may not show up in blood work. Also. the stomach can have a referred pain from the back and you can think it is coming from the stomach. I will let it sit in the back of my mind for a bit and if I think of anything else, I will speak up.
ty for your thoughts on this.
