I have difficulty to keep my head up and and i think is due to my lower jaw(i have done a MRI of the jaw but show nothing) movie forward it (the jaw) stretch the back of my neck . MRI show instability C6C7. Do you know a specialist in Georgia for the instability of my cervical? and whom i can trust, maybe is due to EDS did some DNA COL1A1 but told me it was unclear.

You will want to research orthopedic spine surgeon specialist in GA (that accepts your insurance and has high ratings from patients). Ask friends, family, etc. if they know of anyone who needed cervical spine surgery. I had ACDF surgery on my C5C6 due to cervical spondylitic myelopathy (spinal cord compression/flattening and injury). It was affecting my bladder, arms/hands and legs/feet, walking, etc. and caused significant neck/shoulder pain and headaches. I have congenital cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, spondylitis, etc. I am a 54 year old female and luckily regained some control of my bladder, walking, arms/hands and neck pain and headaches reduced after surgery. They needed to remove my disc and fuse C5C6 together and put in a metal cage to stabilize my spine. I worked for over 30 years on a computer and the weight of my head and forward leaning has altered the alignment in my cervical spine. If you are having jaw/facial pain and issues, the cervical spine can affect your trigeminal and cranial nerves if pinched. Good luck getting a recommendation and referral to a good spine specialist.

You also should have baseline EMG, nerve conduction studies, MRN to see how your central nervous system and peripheral nervous system are being affected. Anything affecting your cervical spine is an urgent issue to address since it affects all functioning below your neck. Be very careful not to fall as this could cause permanent injury/paralysis. See attached picture of nervous system.
@ines01, my picture file was too large and would not upload. My apologies.
thank you so much for your help
did you felt like you head was loose? like i have thought time to keep my head up and tearing sensation around my neck and shoulder.
@ines01
I have felt the instability in both my neck and lower back. It sounds like your cervical spine vertebrae, nerves and surrounding muscles are being affected. This is neuromuscular impact. You may want to get a soft collar to support your neck and cervical pillow for support while sleeping until you get with a spine specialist and neurologist. I bought my neck brace and pillow on Amazon. Let me know if I can help support you further. I pray you get answers ASAP. 🙏
@ines01
One caution is to not where the collar for too long. Where it throughout the day but take it off periodically so you don’t weaken your neck muscles. Also, be careful not to get any neck/spine manipulation (chiropractor, massage therapist, etc.) until you get seen and diagnosed/treated by a spine specialist/neurologist.

I should have used “wear” not “where” but was typing too fast and sent before I noticed. 😉
@ines01 You might also call The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL., 904-953-2000, to ask if they can recommend doctors who may have trained at Mayo but then went out on their own. There are also hospitals around the country that are part of Mayo’s Care Network. See if one is close to you.

Connect can only recommend where to find doctors, not doctors themselves.
Does the doctor who ordered the MRI and who gave you a diagnosis, have any recommendations?
