inching (no rash)
whole body itching comes and goes jumps from body part to body part.
started about a week ago. jumps in severity 1-10. tried a bunch creams they don’t have an effect. we did some blood work, nothing abnormal. liver & kidney levels normal. waiting for shingles blood work. things on my mind: panic. biggest concern is ms. been looking at a lot of threads on reddit. some people who describe similar symptoms it ended up being extreme tree pollen allergies. it’s spring in germany and everything is blooming so could be? other possibilities could be some weird covid side effect? i read a bunch of people described having skin issues with no visible signs. me (not vaxed) never tested positive for covid all these years. guess everything is possible.

ps. tried antihistamines little no effect. imo it feels more viral or nerves misfiring. i guess it’s about finding out why? also the top two shoulders seem to be affected most. sometimes they feel like sunburn. even though i haven’t been in the sun.

1 Reaction...just a guess but what about a new soap you are using; or shampoo; detergent to wash sheets; a new food? I dont have itching but burning face and like yo tops of shoulders etc., but no itching and have gone through everything in my house i can think of...inside and outside so have had it through the last year, four seasons in Canada.... dermatologist says not his field; neurologist says not his field... well what next? sometimes my face is red sometimes not but burning and then going under chin etc. etc. i only once woke up with extreme itching above my waist but only once and it was horrible so I sympathize with you - hope you find cause/solution soon, J. p.s. like you, I feel its the nerve endings inside my body but no help!

It isn’t perfect and is expensive but it may help. Don’t use hot water to wash in and don’t scratch. Apply cold to area briefly to avoid itching. Lots of different CeraVe types. Only this one helps. Good luck.

1 ReactionI have had shingles No Rash 3 times since 2020. Each time it presents this way for me. Some people have only INTERNAL SHINGLES. Go to your pc or dermatologist and have them test you for both the igg and IGM for varcerialla zoster. I take valtrex suppression therapy dose. 500 mg daily. Good luck.

1 ReactionNot sure why your big concern for MS is but emotions play a big part in odd skin conditions people suffer from. Anxiety is well known to cause this in some folks. Could you be artificially creating this with your anxiety of MS?
I am so sorry you are having this problem but glad to know I am not alone. I get severe pain and itching randomly between my shoulders on my back. There is no rash or mark and itching it is using Hydro cortisone cream do not help. I saw your my geriatric doctor who couldn't see anything so I made an appointment with my dermatologist.
