Hi @frouke,
I am just a year younger than you. A few years ago imagine not knowing you have a redundant colon and imagine a lifetime of frequent constipation with the horror of wondering will it ever stop. My doctor explained that most of the people in the world don't use anesthesia + I chose to give birth with no anesthesia for the healthier effect for my daughter. Hells bells birthing naturally was very exciting. Remember I am a farmer so had seen all kinds of animals give birth.
To conclude, because of what my doctor offered and didn't demand giving me the option to stop if needed, it was a great learning experience. But most of all because of it I learned first hand about my redundant colon and have put together a healthy not medication routine for the best consistent REGULARIIY in my life. So to you @frouke, it is great that you feel fine using anesthesia but thank you for respecting me to choose what I want. No one is going to force you so you're safe.
@farmersmith , Natural and Organic first

2 ReactionsI had regular hemorrhoid banding done at my past GI Dr's office. At 1st it helped but .now skeptical about doing it. I have had some problems since and worried it could be from that. i can't say for sure but...don't think I will do it anymore.

Past lessons: “It’s physical” regular constipation suggestions may not work, including laxatives. Don’t give up. It took over 4 months for me to be more regular naturally, two years ago!
Now: added help with gut rub down exercise ILU see photo
Still do: STEP AWAY FROM TYPICAL AMERICAN DIET
Use whole food organics: beef, chicken, fish (baked or instant pot); nuts soaked, fruit in moderation, vegetables with moderate to low oxalate, and no nightshade or gluten to avoid arthritis and aches, minimize grains especially with gluten in them (remember flour and water can make glue)
For regularity: dried/soaked plums, prune juice, ground seeds (in designated coffee grinder) chia, flax and a T of carob (important to soak mixture in ample water overnight for better digestion); sweet potatoes and squash several times a week. I use goat kefir, yogurt and cheese in moderation since they can constipate. Water throughout the day + lots of hot water upon rising. I take extra Magnesium and Potassium because they help pull water into the colon. Check out Migrating Motor Complex and Osmotic Gradient.
My regularity happens big time in the morning after a quart of hot water (boy scouts) + the soaked ground seed, prune concoction and water or prune juice. For rare times regularity doesn’t happen I gulp coffee (don’t enjoy so don’t drink usually) and or drink Smooth Move - natural Senna tea
Disclaimer: Only my experience. I’ve used organic, integrative, functional, holistic Naturopathic ND’s advice + my MD’s since the early 1980's. My ND said redundant colon is physical, so good to work out a plan that works from now on.
Good luck, It’s worth it, @farmersmith
