Immunotherapy for HPV positive tongue cancer

Posted by madlydancing @madlydancing, 4 days ago

Has any one tried Immunotherapy? My husband had 13 sessions of radiation and developed a severe breathing issue, he can no longer lie down. so treatments have stopped. Scans showed his diaphragm became elevated. Immunotherapy is his last hope. If anyone one has tried this protocol please let me know how you are doing. Thanks!

If you search Google Scholar, you may find some answers. The research appears to suggest that it effective at prolonging life with less toxicity. If this is your husband's first round with cancer, it may prove to be effective as the survival rate is high. Unfortunately, science hasn't caught up with our needs, so our options are limited. Good luck.

I've been on Libtayo immunotherapy every 3 weeks for 2 years and now seems that all my cancer cells are gone! I tolerated it very well with almost no side effects.

@louisejewell Thank you for sharing your experience. My husband is meeting with a dr this week to discuss immunotherapy. I’ll ask about that treatment. Best of luck in your treatment!
