I'm having dizziness since I've had PMR. Is it relaled?
I've had dizzy spells ofv and on, since I've had PMR. It sometimes seems metabolic, as eating helps.

I’m only into this for 5-6 weeks however i get dizzy when I get up and lay down in bed. I’m pretty sure it is vertigo and I’m working on exercises to see if it clears it.
I’m not sure if the PMR is related to
Hum, had it after Covid in June, bad flare and still some dizziness. Feel "off".
Not many suggestions for you, be careful.
Yes I get dizzy sometimes but at least for me I think it’s related to prednisone not the PMR itself. Actually my GP asked me just this week at a check in visit of I get dizzy and let me know ot is somewhat common with prednisone.
Do you drink plenty of water? Water helps with low heart rate and low blood pressure, if that's what's causing it. A nurse told me that once when I felt lightheaded and slightly nauseous with a low heart rate of 42. Two big glasses of water and an hour later I retested at normal heart rate with no symptoms. Dehydration can cause a lot of health problems. Prednisone can mess up the salt/potassium balance and drinking extra water helps with that too.
Yes, I drink a lot of water. Always have. I also have had persistent leg cramps for weeks. After trying all the many leg cramp remedies, taking 1000 mg of Magnesium daily, seems to be doing the trick. I think prednisone is probably the culprit.
Magnesium definitely works for cramps. Interesting you say that eating helps. Have you had blood glucose levels taken lately?
Yes, and my glucose levels have always been just fine. But after takeing prednisone, glucose as well as mnay other blood test results have gone outside the acceptable levels. Hoping things can get back to normal, as I progress.
I think if we have significant systemic inflammation long term it can
affect our nervous system. I developed right bundle branch block and
symptoms of autonomic neuropathy with orthostatic low blood pressure after
PMR resolved. May help to get a cardiology evaluation.
