I went to the Mayo clinic in Rochester, MN this past spring

I went to the Mayo clinic in Rochester, Mn this past spring and it was the biggest waste of money. I brought several CD's with scans on them to an endocrinologist there. The endocrinologist said she would have her radiologist review them and she then did some additional testing. For my followup visit she told me that I didn't have a meningioma and I didn't have a parathyroid adenoma because her radiologist didn't mention them to her. She then told me I was taking too much thyroid medicine because my TSH levels were too low. I explained that after my pituitary surgery, my TSH levels weren't reliable. Since I got zero help and a huge bill now I have to wait to save more money to go elsewhere. When I got home and told my primary care doc about this, she told me that those scans were done at some of the very best facilities in the US and since I had multiple scans from different facilities, that yes, I still had a meningioma and a parathyroid adenoma.

I also went to another doc there, and long story short she told me she would write a letter to me to bring to yet another doc when I got home. Never received the letter in spite of me asking several times.

Hi @fedup. I'm so sorry to hear about your experience at Mayo and to hear that we disappointed you. We have an Office of Patient Experience, and if you wish, you can call 507-284-4988 and talk to them about your concerns. We'd appreciate the feedback.

I think that would be a big waste of my time. Also I am so ill now that I do not have an ounce of energy to waste on the Mayo. What are they going to do? Tell me that they are sorry? That isn't going to help my situation now. Thanks anyway.
