Recently diagnosed with ITP. Also tested positive with H. pylori

I was recently diagnosed with ITP. I also tested positive with H pyroli. Is this normal with ITP? any treatments that work? Thanks

Welcome to Connect, @kc9cpk Immune thrombocytopenia purpura or ITP, is a blood disorder characterized by low platelets in which the immune system is stimulated to attack your body's own platelets. In adults, an infection with HIV, hepatitis or the bacteria that causes stomach ulcers, known as H. pylori, can cause ITP. From my understanding, with the informational links I’ve posted below for you, H. pylori is typically treated with a combination of antibiotics plus a proton pump inhibitor (PPI. After treatment, if the ITP was caused by H.pylori and not some other contributing factor, platelet levels usually return to normal.
