Just diagnosed with breast cancer. Not sure what to say or expect

Not sure what to expect. I was told I would have surgery, than radiation after chemo. Not sure what to expect. Any ideas or information to help me navigate through this process?

@canslead

They told me Wednesday and haven't even seen me yet. No clue what is going on.
I wish I knew anything.

I would contact them immediately to see what the next step is, I am hoping you were not told this over the phone. My process was, after all my testing , mammogram, ultra sound and biopsy, I had an appointment with the oncologist department at which they explained my type of cancer, my options and I met the cancer support person who helps you navigate through all you have been told. After my decision was made for a mastectomy? I was put in contact with a surgeon. You should not have to sit and worry , they should be telling you what comes next. Don’t be afraid to be a little aggressive, after all you have just been told devastating news and you need to know what is next and let’s get moving on this. Also, if you are not feeling comfortable, don’t be afraid to get another opinion and doctor. I hope this helps to ease your mind a little and I wish you the best in this journey. Stay positive, it really helps you through the process.
