I am fortunate too. I get my bloodwork and scans in the morning and review the results with the doctor in the afternoon. I used to wait for my doctor's appointment to look at them, but not anymore. After three years, I am comfortable enough to take a peek. Plus, it gives the doc and me an extra minute or two to talk about our favorite fishing hole. That is way more enjoyable. It is nice to have an oncologist that is just a good dude. You take care as well.
By the time I get home from the hospital my doctor has the repost. Here in Australia they are fast, They also give me a copy of the repost on a USB when I leave the Hospital, but I never look at it because I go and see the Doctor the next day & let him give me the good or bad news. Thanks you & Take Care
"Scanxiety" is fun isn't it? How long does it usually take for you to get the results after the scan?
I'm doing Ok but after the 3 lots of Immunotherapy I've got to have a new PET scan done & that when I start to spin out a little, worrying about the report , Is it going to be good or bad like it was last time. other then that I'm doing ok
Hi Donna
I have Liver & Pancreatic Cancer which I've had since July 2024 & just like you and ever one else, when your told you have Cancer it does not matter what sort of Cancer it is, it is a real shock to hear that word ( Cancer ) & the first thing that happen is we all go into shock. My Cancer is in the blood so I can't have an Opp & there is No curer for it, I've had 6 months of Chemo & now having Immunotherapy. I'm only telling you this so you will know what is ahead of you, but don't be scared & try very hard not to thing about your Cancer or treatment just go with the flow and hope for the best like we all do. You are not alone in your fight & I wish you all the best Donna
@donnabl How are you coming along?🙏
Hello BLM47,
Hoping you are doing well. The early signs of my liver cancer came after many years of Hep c infection which caused cirrhosis. I was not able to get a cure for the hep c until 2019. The cirrhosis progressed to liver cancer that was small with really no extra symptoms besides more fatigue. Then I began to have discomfort on my right side under my ribs. The tumor was discovered by MRI and monitored by my docs at Mayo Jacksonville until it reached 2 cm and then ablated. I have gastrointestinal problems and still have fatigue. How are you doing? I haven’t seen you here in a while. Did your Y90 work out? Wishing you the best outcome possible.
