I have a redundant splenic, WHY is it being ignored?

Severe CIC, 10 yrs same GI Dr. I am completely treatment resistant. I have usd Amitiza, Linzess, Trulance all useless. I request an abdominal X-ray every 2-4 months, I always have an excessive stool burden. I have had 3 small bowel partial pseudo obstructions, 1 landed me in ER and gastric tube for 3 days. Two years ago I had 3 digital removals, by me, digging out enough poop bit by painful bit,, so most of the poop would come out. I have used Miralax 3 capfuls 1-3x a day for 10 years; Metamucil randomly, cuz it can bind me up fast. I keep my colon in a state of super loose or diarrhea, on purpose. I am scared of the gastric tube or digital removals. I have been reading about the splenic flexure. Why would my Dr., ignore it as a possibility of being part of the problem? I have left Kaiser Permanente, I was there for 45 years. I was forced to leave because I turned 65 and I live out of their coverage area.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Shelley

Welcome to Mayo Connect?
It sounds terrible to have to live like you do!
How old are you now?
Did you have problems as a child?
Did you have a lot of imaging over the years, X-ray, CT? If so, what did they show?
Any biopsies?
There are many members with chronic constipation, some even ending up with colectomies.
Let’s hope you get some answers.

Thanx for the reply.
I am 65, no childhood problems except horrible periods, crazy pain cramps, heavy bleeding, constipation issues during period. No excessive imaging, until X-rays for stool load. I've had CTs and MRIs head/neck. In 2005 I was in 2 recreational accidents: rogue wave in the ocean tossed me around and then across a lava outcropping, then in the snow I hit a divet and whiplashed REALLY BAD. So, migraines went from 4-6 a year, to 24/7 . I eventually had to sell my business. I went on full disability 8 years later. I simply can't think clearly, this just keeps getting worse. My neck spine is a crumbling mess, the rest of spine has OA, osteoporosis. I also have pSS that is drying up my body systemically, quite literally. None of my former drs, even the RH. The OA and osteoporosis is progressing more rapidly than at first

Biopsies: lip for the pSS, small intestine, I have celiac disease, my villi are almost flat. I probably have Hyperparathyroidism, I have to get a 2nd opinion.
Do you know about this redundant splenic flexure? I have learned that it is 99% congenital. Drs in general have opposing opinions on removing the redundant part or leave it alone. "How bad could constipation be." I broke down and cried when the dr said this.I rarely leave the house anymore cuz I don't know if I will be in clogged or diarrhea mode.I have had 3 small intestinal partial obstructions, only had to go to ER for one, the others cleared up alone.. I have had 3 colonoscopies and this was NEVER mentioned. It can cause CIC, or have no symptoms at all. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I also have Phleboliths and Tarlov cysts, both can cause or be a symptom of CIC. Again, any recommendations, how to research, how to bring it up with a new doctor, once I get one. Thanx, Shelley 🤪🙃
