I came through the surgery just fine!
Thank all of you for the great support you gave me!
The lidocaine is helping me (lasts three days) so I am fine with OTC pain meds for now.
Doc took a good half an inch around the tumors in all directions so I am hopeful we got clear margins.
Only one lymph node taken that looked normal.
Will get pathology report in two weeks.
Surgery took 6 1/2 hours total.
Can’t believe how tired I am. I am fairly comfortable but very tired.
Thank you all so much, you guys are awesome! Just wanted to let you know the surgery was just fine and I didn’t wake up in pain at all.

Listen to your body! You're tired because you went through a lot. Rest when you need to. We don't give the need for rest enough attention.
Hi @msandbreastcancerwarrior
I’m so happy to hear your surgery went well and you are doing so well. Yay!!! Take this time to rest and relax and please keep us posted. ❤️
Glad to hear you made out fine. We are your biggest supporters.
Take this time to relax and wishing you a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 sending prayers your way. And if anyone else is having surgery. Prayers all around. Love this support group 🤗
Thank you so much for your kind reply! I will continue to rest.
I am healing very quickly now. Much less pain now that it’s four days after surgery, and my JP drain output is low enough the drains could be eligible for taking out now instead of at next week’s post op. But I will wait for the doctor to remove them. The fluid is also much lighter now and mostly clear fluid.
I was able to shower and wash my hair this morning (very carefully and with help) and boy did that feel great.
Thank you again.
Thank you very much for your kind reply!
I love this support group, all of you are so wonderful and have helped me more than I could possibly tell you!
All of you are so brave and strong, and have reassured me I can get through this too!
To anyone reading this still awaiting partial mastectomies and lift surgery, rest assured it really isn’t bad at all and it will be a lot less painful than you might expect, but it will be helpful to have someone assist you that first week if possible. And you will need lots of rest and sleep that first week.
Thank you again and I hope for good outcomes for all here!

Thank you so very much for your kind reply!
I am very grateful for your support and the support of everyone here!
Day four after surgery and I am doing great, hardly any pain, hardly any jp drain output, no signs of any problems at all!
Just very tired and seem to need lots of rest and sleep.
Thank you again!

It’s so great to hear your good report!!! Glad you still have little pain after getting past your 3 day anesthesia pump.
Keep enjoying your chance to rest. It’s always easy to overdo it after surgery.
Love, love, love all the great news!!! 🥰
Relax. Rest. Allow others to spoil you! Don’t “hurry” your recovery. We watched funny movies on TV and bugs bunny/road runner cartoons, Jim Gaffigan stand up comedy on Netflix. Laughter and love in copious amounts. Best wishes being sent your way!
I'm happy for your speedy recovery. Washing my hair for the first time was amazing! Be kind to yourself throughout your recovery, Sometimes it feels like 2 steps forward, 1 step back. You can't see but I have a smile on my face for you.
Thank you so much again Zebra! ❤️❤️❤️
The stuff I think was EMLA or something like that, lasts 3 days or so. Not a pump but some kind of a time release lidocaine mixture? Amazing the technology they have now.
Even with that I did have some pain the first three days and now the pain seems to be getting less each day. I think the lidocaine is all out of my system now, by day five.
I can tell I still need lots of sleep and rest so I am watching a lot of tv and dozing.
Thank you again so much for everything Zebra! You were right, this isn’t so bad at all!
