I broke my heel bone and need help knowing what to expect

So I fell off a ladder and broke my heel. I’m a 66-year-old woman with good bone density. I’m wondering what the outlook is going forward as far as how long it takes to heal, etc. I’d like to hear from people experienced with a broken heel and what it was like for them.
