I am a vital 87 yo woman who was diagnosed with renal artery stenosis.
I have had diabetes and high bp for 38 years. Three years ago, I went to emergency because of severe dizziness and they found mild to moderate renal artery disease. Recently, I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, 3b. My nurse practitioner says it us a very diffcult surgery to clean the artery. But, I read that there are other meds, balloon before a stent.
All my blood/urine work is normal.
Should I seek further care regarding the renal artery disease. I surely don't want to die from ckd.

travlkar, you might want to consult a urologist. Angioplasty and stenting are usually done endoscopically. It isn't such a difficult surgery though there are risks.
