I too have panhypopit. I got it from a damaged hypothalamus and pituitary from a tumor I had as a child and lesions still. I have always struggled with my weight as well. Right now I am 287 lbs! All my doctors want me to start a GLP-1 med which I’m open to but my insurance won’t cover it for obesity (even hypothalamic type). I might start a new medicine called setmelonotide. It is meant for people with hypothalamic obesity and certain genetic obesities. Only major side effect is slight skin darkening (like a tan). Might want to talk to your endocrinologist about GLPs or the above mentioned medicine. Sorry about your late wife. Hope you’re okay.
