Aren’t your levels fairly normal? If your doctor is okay with them, have you considered the lethargy could be due to something else? Have you checked your B12? I might consult with a nutritionist to make sure you’re getting good foods for energy and strength. Also, exercise that will provide you with more energy.

1 Reaction@imautistic have you been diagnosed with hypothyroidism? (low thyroid) People with hypothyroidism often struggle with being overweight. Is it possible that you mean hyperthyroidism (high thyroid)? These people often struggle with gaining weight. As @celia16 pointed out, fatigue could be caused by other things. When you mention going “through 2 doses”, what medication are you talking about? Is it a routine medication that you take everyday? Could you talk to the prescribing doctor about your fatigue and inability to gain weight? We members shouldn’t be trying to diagnose conditions or prescribing medications & dose changes. Not feeling well since last November is a long time.

1 Reaction@cehunt57 it might sound weird but I have hypothyroidism my doctor wants me to go back to the dietitian or gi even tho no GI problems at all or eating problems she thinks my medication is normal i guess my thyroid doctor does but to me I don’t feel right i told her but she wont listen idk what to do also i had 80 mcg of levothyroxine before i got 100 mcg in April none dont appear to do there job
I have hypothyroidism and have been on the same dose of levothyroxine for many years. I was exhausted before I was treated, however after my levels changed I felt normal again. My Endocrinologist and GP monitor my labs. So, if your doctors believe your thyroid numbers are normal, I’d ask them about other potential causes of exhaustion. Has this happened before? Have you had depression, chronic pain, etc.? Your healthcare team should be able to run tests and rule out certain potential culprits. I hope you find some answers.
