The Dr i saw, did not prescribe it for anything. I just asked, in general, about it, and that was her response, to be careful, as there are cases where you should Not use it. My reply was not to suggest to any one to use it , it was to caution them, in case they did decide to try it, and to look at potential problems they could run into. Too many people jump the gun, and buy things, or get medical procedures just because someone told them it would be good to do. I was just trying to pull the reigns back a little, and tell them to first do research, a lot of research, before they try anything.......we have a , i wouldn't call them a clinic, but a hmmm, guess i will have to say clinic for lack of a better word, they have several things they offer, including HBOT, Red Light therapy, that cyber thing where you Freeze going in the chamber, yikes........and a couple of other things. I went in their once with a friend to see what all they had. we did their special red light, but never went back. Someone like that makes me nervous, because they don't really have a Dr, or nurse on hand.........and to use these types of treatments, i would really really want it supervised by a medical person who is pretty darn educated in the use of these treatments..........i guess that is what prompted me to put in my little note on being cautious, and research before you do anything like that.
Not for general PN, I had 40 rounds of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for radiation induced branchial plexus neuropathy. I'm posting on this in case anyone else has a nerve-damage type neuropathy.
For me there was clear nerve damage on the MRI and in the nerve tests, but it had just started when my team got me in.
I did it through UCLA medical and it took two rounds to authorize for insurance - the damage I suffered is so rare, and often takes years to appear and be diagnosed and very little is proven to help.
Because we caught it so fast while I was still in active treatment for the cancer it did bring back almost all my strength to my arm, can hold a pen again, lift things, and numbness now localized mostly to pointer and thumb verses entire arm out of commission.
This was adjacent to many other treatments my radiologist had me on.
If you can locate a reason for the PN and it's just starting out, I would recommend trying for Hyperbaric.
I did this so members @piatkowskisc, @seathink and @lautwell discussing this topic would have a chance to see your post and so that you could read through some of their experiences as well.

I'm starting HBOT soon (x40) to hope for relief from muscle fibrosis in my neck and a clavicular area as I was referred by my surgeon. It's the real deal 2.4 atmosphere type and they said two thirds of folks going in are for radiation injury now. It's an approved treatment for many things apparently. The way I see it there's several potential benefits besides any immediate relief of inflammation. It may help prevent further degradation, decrease hypoxia to rejuvenate cellular function and prevent reoccurrence. It could also boost lymph production. I'll post any results after it's over around 9/10/25.

I actually went out and bought one and it’s still sitting in my garage in boxes on the flat it was delivered in. I think the reason still sitting in a box I don’t wanna be disappointed so in case other people want laugh out loud.

I have a place near me that you can do the "soft" HBOT for about 20 per session but that's not going to do much for my needs. Buying a hard case unit is expensive and I've no guarantee that it will help yet. There's benefits to both types and I'd definitely try that thing out. What's the pressure rating on it?

Hello @dsalis,
I combined your discussion with the existing discussion titled:

Has anyone started hyperbaric oxygen chamber for neuropathy or nerve related diseases or injuries to spinal cord?
