Humira/Adalimumab for Lupus - Pros & Cons?? Does it work?
Hello,
I just came off CellCept as I could no longer tolerate it, tried Rinvoq but insurance requiring Humira first to try. Little nervous since it’s a TNF inhibitor and wanna know if anyone has tried it and what their experience is!! Not too confident in it as of now 🙁

I can't comment as a Lupus patient, but I've had Rheumatoid Arthritis for about 15 years and have been on Humira for 14 (wow, time flies!). I've had no side effects and no problems. Although I'm also on methotrexate, I've been quite healthy, have only had a cold here and there, no problem with cuts healing. Had Covid once, but it wasn't severe. I think it's a very effective medication. I get the citrate-free Humira, as the original would sometimes burn a bit when injected. Good luck!

4 ReactionsI am on a Humira biologic (Yuflyma) for autoimmune issues including recurrent uveitis (insurance company requires biologic first)I have no side effects and feel great; my horrific joint pain is 90% gone and GI problems also resolved. When I went off for one injection at rheumatologist’s,suggestion due to bronchitis and antibiotic, I did have joint pain flare; I’m thrilled to basically have my life back and can walk without limping. Autoimmune disease is difficult.
I went deaf 20 years ago due to autoimmune disease. Have bilateral cochlear implants. Best wishes as you move forward.
