How to manage radiation side effects

Posted by pianist3 @pianist3, Oct 3 7:35am

Hi, everyone!! So I’ve already had 6 doses of radiation for my two skin cancers on my face and I have 14 more treatments left to go. I’m finding that the radiation is causing some side effects. The first is a slowing of my thyroid, which then affects my digestion rate. I’m also experiencing fatigue, some depression and depersonalization. It’s very strange. The slowing of my system caused me to miss signs of a UTI and then it went to my kidneys. I was in the ER 3 days ago, now I’m on an antibiotic for that. Anyway, I’m also post-menopause, post-hysterectomy and post-appendectomy…so, I’ve dealt with a lot of loss of organs, hormones and energy. Ok, well, anyway…I’m increasing my vitamins and drinking some green antioxidant juices and including some tinctures to help with the lymphatic system, respiratory and urinary. Boy, this is tough and I can’t wait until Nov 4th when it’s all over and I’m cancer free. If anyone has any help, suggestions or ideas for healing during this radiation therapy, I’d be ever so grateful! Thanks so much and sending you all healing ❤️‍🩹 prayers and every blessing!! Best to y’all! Mia 💕🙏💐

Mia, you’re a very brave soul and it sounds like you have been through a lot and you deserve some peace in your life. I would say that the worst part is over and now comes the healing process, you are eating well and supplementing with vitamins, with time and keeping up on your health as you’re already doing, mostly time is your best friend and soon you will feel more confident about yourself and the changes inside will become your new self, best wishes and a happy life ahead.
