How to deal with oxalates
A close relative had pretty bad kidney stones. She was told to drink lemon juice daily and to add calcium to her diet. However in doing a deep dive, it became apparent, that calcium affects oxalates quite considerable, and oxalates affect osteoporosis quite considerably. (and scoliosis of the spine). So now my relative has an oxalate reading that is off the charts. yet no doctor can advise where is the egg and where is the chicken here. Has anyone had an oxalates reading of over 700 and what did they do? Be nice to know because there does not seem to be much of any medical advice

Not over 700 however, did have stones removal @ Mayo, they recommended Vitamin D at 800 IU.
After my husband started getting kidney stones I did some research. I found a lot of contradictory info too.
I joined the Facebook group Trying Low Oxalates (TLO). They have a wealth of information and spreadsheets for oxalate content of foods.
My husband was trying to be "healthy" eating spinach and almonds everyday - found out they are some of the worst things you can eat because they are so high in oxalates!
The oxalates bind to the calcium making it unusable for your bones which is why you need to also watch your intake if you have osteopenia or osteoporosis. His doctor told him to take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar everyday. You can put it in a glass of water to make it easier to drink. Also stay hydrated!
