How to deal with headaches with Anabolics

Posted by awesomemomx2 @awesomemomx2, Feb 14 12:20pm

How have people handled headaches as a side effect of the anabolics? I am a person who has a long history of migraines and this is a major concern I have about taking any mediation, but know headaches can be a side effect of those drugs.

I haven’t had a single headache since starting Tymlos. In fact I have had few side effects.

Headaches are a common, generally temporary, side effect of anabolic osteoporosis medications, including teriparatide (Forteo), abaloparatide (Tymlos), and romosozumab (Evenity), often linked to transient hypercalcemia or the body adjusting to the injection. These headaches are often manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers and usually subside as the body adapts to the treatment. But personally, I would call the doctor and ask for guidance.

Hydrate well before your injection.
