How to treat glioblastoma?

My boyfriend of 23 is dealing with glioblastoma and I am not sure what will happen.The doctors told him to do whatever he wishes to which has scared him even more.Is there a way he could be saved??He cant go to any other country for treatment is there a way he can be saved?

I lost my wife of 55 years on 9/10/24 to that wicked brain cancer. To date there is no known cure or treatment. Ellen lasted 17 months, which I believe is about average for the cancer.
Enjoy life to the maximum, force yourself to smile, and be kind.

@boilerbob Sorry to hear about your wife! Did she had any symptoms prior to being diagnosed? My son had 1st cramps in his legs once then 2nd time it got his attention while driving to get checked out he lost feeling in his legs flew him to University of WA 3 days later they did 1st surgery.

@boilerbob Sorry to hear about your wife! Did she had any symptoms prior to being diagnosed? My son had 1st cramps in his legs once then 2nd time it got his attention while driving to get checked out he lost feeling in his legs flew him to University of WA 3 days later they did 1st surgery.

My wife had slight memory problems, then had balance problems prior to an MRI, which found the cancer.

My son was diagnosed with the aggressive brain cancer 3 years ago he had been through 2 surgeries so far the tumor has not come back yet. He still being treated with the new trial medicine & goes back every few months to have MRI at Mayo Clinic here in AZ so don’t lose hope God is our greatest help, cling to him every second for strength its not easy but with God nothing is impossible hugs🙏🙏✝️

My granddaughter has a very uncommon brain tumor in young adults. She’s had two different tumors removed 11 months apart and now has the beginnings of a new one. No chemos specifically for it. They are trying an oral one in hopes it will slow its growth.
Breaks my heart.

@wisco50 Welcome to the group, I'm going to send a prayer=======------sent and its going through a angel of mine one that watches over me he is sending help your direction. please keep me posted and a name i can attach the prayers to and prayer groups work wonders see if you can get a couple going . have a blessed evening .

@wisco50 How old is your grandaughter? My son was 24 it was very rare astrocytoma glioblastoma grade 4 very agressive been through radiation & chemotherapy & yes it was really heart braking especially at the beginning. But there is no better way for us to handle than just give everything to God & hope for the best. It was scary but for some reason he even traveled to Asia 6 months ago. Praying for your grandaughter for strength & healing 🙏

@colleenyoung he is doing fine but i feel like he has lost all hope to live everyday he pretends to be fine but deep down he is scared of dying,he really doesnt wanna die.He had chemo but now the chemo is also done so now all we are left with is prayers the doctors said that he cant be saved somehow that have made me very depressed.Honestly I am hoping for a miracle,as its really scary and heartbreaking to see him like this.
