how safe is it to fly on airlines with MAC and Bronchiectasis ????
how safe is it to fly public airlines with. Mac and Bronchie------- what about taking your oxygen ??? how difficult????

@nose I don't know if there are studies or statistics, but I fly with Bronchiectasis, and formerly did so when I had MAC. I always wear a well-fitted N95 mask, removing it only briefly to sip water. This past year, I estimate I flew at least 20,000 miles without becoming ill.
I don't use supplemental oxygen, so cannot tell you if there would be any difference.

1 ReactionActually, I've read that the air in commercial airplanes is being constantly filtered. The air is probably safer/cleaner than sitting in most places. That being said, the added protection of a N95 mask should be sufficient.
