How long did you wait for PSMA scan?

Today we tried to schedule PSMA scan and the first available opening was mid April (*slapping my forehead ). Is this OK wait time ? How soon you had your scan after diagnosis ?

Was you MRI just regular MRI or PSMA MRI. As far as I can understand reading around for the past 7 days there is PSMA MRI and PSMA PET CT and both are preferably done. I tried to get answers from our urologist regarding imaging techniques but he dismissed my question completely with answer that it is all the same just different modalities blah blah. IT IS NOT. I hate that I now on top of everything have to "study" radiology instead of concentrating on spending time with my husband or on researching about supplements and other complementary things. But it is OK. One step at a time ...

I’m happy that I’ve helped if only in a small way! I know it can be very frustrating as there is so much information that one must try to understand.
To answer your question in regards to the MRI the following comes directly from what was stated on the order: MRI Prostate w + w/o Contrast w Glucagon. I do not believe it was a PSMA MRI.
I don’t know if this is helpful to you, but I can tell you that I did not get any great guidance from my urologist as far as recommended treatment protocols. My urologist referred me to a radiation oncologist (for my radiation) and a different oncologist for my ADT. It was from these two professionals that I gleaned the most knowledge and comfort regarding the best way forward for me.
I hope you get there sooner than later. I absolutely realize the pressure one feels in these situations.
